Letter to Mr. Kuhns and Mr. Rushton Before the Monogram Vote

Mr. Kuhns and Mr. Rushton

I am writing this in hopes you both and Nancy Wright have not changed your minds on your vote on the Monogram issue.  I hope when Tuesday night comes all three of you will stand your ground and still vote against it. People are saying  you are voting against it to get votes in the next election.

Well you have our vote. We all voted for our town council because they all agreed with you until they where elected. Then they let the developers, realtors and big bucks change everything that they had promised, to keep Dewey-Humboldt a small town and not let what Monogram is proposing happen.

The 580 homes is bad for us.  Yes development will happen but it doesn't have to be this way and rushed the way it has been.  Everyone needs to slow down and there should be a group or groups that help plan what is in the future for our town. And not just one sided groups, but people in our town from all walks of life.  Rich, poor, young or old should be included.  We should also not let people that don't even live here decide what is best for us.

And as far as we need something to bring  people here, as one spokes person said that lives in Chino Valley, "I would not  drive from Phoenix from massive over crowded developments up to Dewey-Humboldt to see another over crowded development."  If we want people to continue to come to our town we need to do something else besides turn ourselves into another Anthem. The over population, like Anthem, will only bring crime and the  destruction of our small town life style.

So I am praying that the vote on Tuesday night will be against the Monogram Development. PLEASE keep our small town, DO NOT DESTROY IT!
