Dewey-Humboldt may be a quiet and comfortable town but it is not without it's own unique stories, history, and charm (and of course, the country folk that make it feel like home). From the farmer's market at Young's Farm to the horse trails winding into the Bradshaw Mountain foothills, there's a lot to see but there's more here than meets the eye.

For example, did you know that when they were founded, neither Dewey nor Humboldt were known by those names? Or that there were other towns in this area whose names are now mostly associated with street designations? And how about some of the various ruins that can still be seen in town. Have you ever wondered what they are? For some answers visit our history section and take a trip down memory lane.

Speaking of history, the Humboldt Historical Society is a great source for tales of bygone days and interesting and little known facts about our area. The Humboldt Historical Society is just one of several organizations in town. Click here for more.

Our photo gallery offers a glimpse into life in a rural western town. We hope to bring you quite a rich collection over time and if you have a picture that speaks a thousand words of the beautiful or unique nature of this town, send it along!

Finally, we will continue to add bits and pieces about our town for your enlightenment and enjoyment. Even if you don't live here, there's something for you.

Enjoy our site and enjoy our town!
